iPhone OS 3.1.3 Update Released and ready for Download via iTunes. Apple has released an update for the iPhone 3Gs OS, bringing the current version of the SDK to 3.1.3.
The shift is no big surprise — analysts have been expecting the iPhone to begin losing its stronghold to Android for some time now. According to Apple, the iPhone OS 3.1.3 update contains important bug fixes and security patches.
Apple has fixed five critical flaws in the OS software for the iPhone and iPod Touch, with the newly-released iPhone OS 3.1.3 update.
CoreAudio (CVE-2010-0036)—Due to a buffer overflow, playing a malicious MP4 audio file could lead to unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution.
ImageIO (CVE-2009-2285)—A buffer underflow in ImageIO could allow a malicious TIFF image to crash the system or execute arbitrary code.
Recovery Mode (CVE-2010-0038)—Due to an error in handling certain USB control messages, a person with physical access to the device could access its data.
WebKit (CVE-2009-3384)—There are multiple vulnerabilities in WebKit’s handling of FTP directory listings. A malicious FTP server could cause information disclosure, unexpected application termination, or execution of arbitrary code.
WebKit (CVE-2009-2841)—An error in the processing of HTML 5 Media Elements could lead to undesired requests to remote servers.

Download Google Chrome for Mac OS X (Beta Released). The Google Chrome web browser has been available on PCs since September 2008, and now the Google Chrome is available for computers running Apple’s operating system, Mac OS X, and for the open-source platform, Linux.
The search giant said it felt that browsers had not kept pace with this rapid development.
