Pre Order iPhone 4 | Apple iPhone 4 Store Pre Order in Black Unit Only

Posted on 15 June 2010 by Janry De Leon

Pre Order iPhone 4 | Apple iPhone 4 Store Pre Order in Black Unit Only – Apple has not given a specific time but we will know when the Apple Store has the “we’ll be back soon” message. There are so many ways for you to pre-order the fourth-generation iPhone, but the online Apple Store is your best option if you want a guarantee to get the handset on the day of its release.

According to AT&T, anyone planning to pre-order their Apple smartphone can do so at any AT&T retail store nationwide or online beginning June 15th. This year, however, AT&T is trying something new – offering customers the option to ship pre-orders directly to their home or business for delivery as soon as launch day.

Best of all, to help you keep tabs on the arrival of your new toy, AT&T will not only send out the obligatory email to confirm that the order has been placed, but also a second email to confirm that the iPhone 4 has actually shipped.

WWDC 2010: iPhone 4G Release Today and Magic Trackpad Available in Apple Store

Posted on 07 June 2010 by Janry De Leon

WWDC 2010: iPhone 4G Release Today and Magic Trackpad Available in Apple Store – Apple iPhone 4G will be available by June, or even as early as May. Besides the earlier-than-expected launch date (new iPhone models traditionally come out in June or July), potential new features are in discussion as well, such as a better camera, an OLED screen, a removable battery, and different casing.

The report says Apple targeted May because it thought that’s when Google would release their Nexus One Android smartphone. Actually, the Nexus One was unveiled earlier this month. Is it like that Apple would move up the release of a new iPhone to compete with Google? Maybe. But it doesn’t seem likely that Apple would misjudge Google’s launch date by several months.

Verizon Wireless is currently testing a CDMA version of the iPhone 4G and Verizon confirms they are making network changes to bring the iphone to their network. The new iPhone 4g is going to be loaded with awesome new features like video chat, multi-tasking and extreme downloading.

HP buys Palm | Hewlett-Packard acquires Palm for $1.2 Billion. Hewlett-Packard Co. agreed to buy Palm Inc., the money-losing handset maker that was once a Silicon Valley icon, for $1.2 billion to challenge Apple Inc. in the smartphone market.

HP has just announced that it’s acquiring Palm to the tune of $1.2 billion, which works out to $5.70 per share of Palm common stock. The deal is planned to close by July 31, which marks the end of HP’s third fiscal quarter of the year.

Palm’s common shareholders will receive $5.70 a share in cash, a 23 percent premium over the closing price, Hewlett- Packard said in a statement today. Elevation Partners LP, Palm’s biggest investor, gets $485 million for its preferred shares and warrants.

The Palm deal moves Hewlett-Packard back into contention with the world’s biggest smartphone makers, including Nokia Oyj, Apple and Research In Motion Ltd. Hewlett-Packard’s current iPaq device hasn’t kept up with competitors.

Posted on 26 April 2010 by Geoff Anderson

BlackBerry Bold 9650 coming to Sprint this May 2010. RIM and Sprint on Monday announced the BlackBerry Bold 9650, a follow-up to the popular BlackBerry Tour, which adds Wi-Fi and ditches the troublesome trackball for an optical trackpad.

The BlackBerry Bold 9650 also includes Wi-Fi, which was missing from the Tour. Like the Tour, the Bold 9650 is a world phone that supports Sprint’s 3G CDMA network as well as foreign GSM and HSPA networks. It has GPS, Bluetooth, and a 3.2-megapixel camera, just like its predecessor. Sprint says the Bold 9650 will be available on May 23 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate.

The BlackBerry Bold 9650 is basically a revamped version of the Tour 9630, with RIM’s new trackpad in place of its problematic trackpad, Wi-Fi support and slightly beefed-up processor.

Sprint is also expected to release a “camera-less” version of the Bold 9650 for organizations with strict security policies that ban digital cameras from certain premises. The Bold 9650 announcement at RIM’s 2010 Wireless Enterprise Symposium (WES) more than a month ago.

Posted on 01 March 2010 by Geoff Anderson

PS3 Network Down : Sony PS3 Error Updates on Twitter March 1, 2010. Sony’s PlayStation Network experienced a problem that garbled its trophy sync process, which sounds harmless at first blush. You don’t need trophies synchronized to actually play a game.

It’s unclear exactly what’s going on at the moment, but it appears that the PlayStation Network is down and causing a whole host of related problems for PS3 systems, including 8001050F error codes, game crashes, corrupted trophy info, and even the complete inability to launch certain titles.

According to The Examiner, Sony tech support says both trophy and savegame data should be fine, and that a fix should be up ‘by morning’ (US time zones).

Google Broadband Fiber Network to Launch Soon Q2 : Google to Tests Ultra High Speed Broadband Network

Posted on 14 February 2010 by Grace Vertulfo

Google Broadband Fiber Network to Launch Soon Q2 : Google to Tests Ultra High Speed Broadband Network

Google Broadband Fiber Network to Launch Soon Q2 : Google to Tests Ultra High Speed Broadband Network. Google is planning to build, and test ultra-high speed broadband networks in a small number of trial locations across the country. We’ll deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today with 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home connections. We’ll offer service at a competitive price to at least 50,000, and potentially up to 500,000 people.

“Our goal is to experiment with new ways to help make internet access better and faster for everyone,” said product managers Minnie Ingersoll and James Kelly on the company’s blog.

“Network providers are making real progress to expand and improve high-speed internet access, but there’s still more to be done. We don’t think we have all the answers — but through our trial, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to the shared goal of delivering faster and better internet for everyone.”
