Sony, the maker of Bravia televisions, plunged 6.7 percent. Fanuc Ltd., a maker of industrial robots that derives 80 percent of its revenue outside Japan, dropped 2.1 percent. Inpex Corp., Japan’s largest oil explorer, retreated 2.6 percent after crude oil declined.
